On the grounds of the Presidio San Agustín del Tucson · Weddings from $1,750 · Guests of all ages welcome

There are places you rent, and there are places that hold a little weight. This is the second kind. Adobe walls the color of late sun, a courtyard open to the desert sky beneath a 150-year-old Mission fig tree, and two and a half centuries of the city's story standing quietly around you while you say I do. It is a place built for the sentence, and they lived happily ever after.

The Ceremony

Say your vows in the open air.

Come down the aisle across ground the city has stood on for two and a half centuries, under a sky going gold with the late afternoon. Your people gather close in the courtyard, sun-baked adobe at your back, a friend of yours to marry you if that is your wish, and nothing between the two of you and I do. However you choose to marry, the place does half the work.

Plan Your Ceremony
A joyful couple dancing at the reception, one arm raised
The Reception

Dance under string lights and open sky.

As the sun drops the courtyard turns gold, then amber, then dark and glittering overhead. The string lights come up, the music finds its feet, and the floor stays open beneath the stars for as long as the night will have you. From your first dance to the last song, it belongs to you.

The Table & the Bar

Your caterer, your table, your bar.

Bring the caterer you have always loved, or the taco cart you have been dreaming of; the courtyard is yours to feed exactly as you please. Any alcohol at your wedding is ours to pour, on our license and no outside bottles, by Brandylion, one of Tucson's most original and creative cocktail venues, so all you carry into the night is a full glass and each other.

Two Minutes Away

Marry at the courthouse, celebrate here.

The Pima County Courthouse and its tiled dome stand a short walk across the block. Say your vows in that landmark if you like, make it official, then bring everyone back through the Presidio gates for the reception. A courthouse wedding, and a night worth staying for.

Ask About It
What We Host

However you wish to marry.

Most weddings here run forty to eighty guests in the intimate courtyard, and the old Presidio plaza opens all the way to two hundred. From the two of you and a witness to the whole guest list, the place dresses to fit. And because we keep dates open and the day flexible, it is made for the couple planning in the next few months, not the next few years.

Intimate Elopements

Just the two of you, a witness, or a handful of the people who matter most, and the whole quiet courtyard to yourselves. Small, and complete.

Full Receptions

The courtyard and the old Presidio plaza given over to your guest list. Dinner, toasts, first dances, and a floor open under the stars until the last song.

Vow Renewals

The same promises, years along, in a place old enough to make the point. Bring everyone who watched you keep them.

Welcome Parties

A first drink for the out-of-town guests the evening everyone lands, downtown, under the string lights. Easy introductions and a warm start.

The Whole Block

A full buyout of the entire Presidio grounds and the Brandylion House of Tea & Spirits, the whole historic block yours alone. The largest, most private wedding downtown can hold.

Transparent, On Purpose

What a wedding here costs.

We would rather you knew what it costs before you drove downtown. Here is the number, up front. And the majority of what you spend on the venue goes to keep the Presidio Museum's doors open.

The Intimate
$1,750
six hours · up to forty

The bare space, just the courtyard for a small wedding. Bring your own everything and build the day exactly as you like.

The Evening
$2,400
six hours · evening

The evening, fully staffed. We bring the tables and chairs, the sound and lighting, and set it all up and strike it. Setup begins at four, when the Museum closes to visitors.

The Whole Day
$3,800
twelve hours · the Museum, closed and yours

The whole day, fully staffed and the Museum closed to the public, so you can load in, decorate, get ready and marry at your own pace.

Bare at $1,750, fully staffed above.

The intimate rental is the space itself, yours to build. The six- and twelve-hour tiers come with the whole team and the setup below.

  • Service staff, a bartender and two servers per forty guests
  • Tables and chairs, set up and struck for you
  • PA, sound and lighting, run by our staff
  • A Brandylion events rep alongside your planner
  • A private room to get ready in
  • Cleaning, and the setup and strike of it all

At every tier, the freedom is the same: bring any caterer, planner, florist, photographer or DJ you like, with no preferred-vendor list and no minimum spend. A vendor gate lets their trucks drive straight in. The bar is ours whenever there is alcohol, poured on our license. And most of your booking helps keep the Presidio Museum's doors open.

A few we love. Bring your own, or start with the vendors we trust, all at preferred rates for weddings held here.

Our preferred photographer is Trustfall, also at preferred wedding rates. Prefer your own DJ, planner, florist or photographer? Bring them. There is no vendor list to clear.

The bar

Every drink poured here comes through our license, ordered in advance with you. Whenever there is alcohol, the bar is ours, so plan it with us early and we will pour the night your way.

The bar itself
$250

A private bartender and your own outdoor bar, for any size wedding. This is the whole bar fee.

Three cocktails of your own
+$200

In a private R&D session at the bar, you and our team design three signature cocktails together, yours, named by you, poured all night.

The drinks
On a tab

Run an open tab and cap it where you like, cover the cocktail hour, or let guests buy their own. Prefer one predictable number per guest instead? Ask us and we will quote it.

What it comes to, honestly.

The space is $1,750 to $3,800, for the hours and the size you need. From there you spend only on what you choose, a caterer you love, a bar as big or small as you like, the furniture and music that suit the day. Tell us what you are dreaming of and we will build the real number with you, line by line, before you commit to anything.

And the majority of every venue booking supports the Presidio San Agustín del Tucson, so the day you begin your story also helps keep this landmark standing for the next couple, and the next.

Presidio San Agustín del Tucson Museum Only at the Presidio

Make it more than a wedding.

You are marrying inside the adobe walls of the Presidio San Agustín del Tucson, founded in 1775 and today a working museum of the city's history. If you like, that history can join the party, small, warm, unrepeatable touches no ballroom can offer.

Each is offered upon availability and arranged with your Brandylion events rep as you plan the day. Tell us which move you and we will fold them into the timeline.

The Questions Couples Ask.

How many guests can we have?
Forty to eighty guests is where the courtyard feels most itself, large enough for a real party, small enough that you will actually talk to everyone who came. Take the full old Presidio plaza and it opens to two hundred, and we are just as glad to marry two of you and a witness on a quiet weekday.
What does a wedding here cost?
$1,750 for an intimate wedding, $2,400 for six hours, $3,800 for the whole day. The $1,750 intimate rental is the bare space, yours to build. The $2,400 and $3,800 tiers come fully staffed, with the tables and chairs, sound and lighting, and setup and strike included. The bar is separate at every tier and starts at $250, required whenever there is alcohol. The full breakdown is up above.
What deposit do you take to hold our date?
Two, both half up front. A 50% deposit on the venue holds your date, refundable if you cancel more than 30 calendar days out, and kept by the Presidio within 30 days of the wedding. The bar package takes a 50% deposit as well, and because your alcohol is ordered in advance especially for your wedding, that one is non-refundable. The balance of each is settled as the day approaches.
Can we hold both the ceremony and the reception here?
Yes, and most couples do. Vows in the courtyard in the late afternoon, a friend of yours officiating if you like, then the space turns while the cocktail hour carries everyone, and the same courtyard is a reception by dark. One address, no shuttle, no gap in the day.
Is it indoors or outdoors?
Outdoors, and gladly so. The courtyard and the Museum grounds are the wedding, string-lit as the evening comes on. There is an indoor bar that stays open to the public, so it is somewhere to duck in, not a rain plan for a hundred people. We would rather say that plainly now than surprise you in August. Tell us your month and we will tell you truthfully what we would bet on.
Who handles the food and the bar?
The food is entirely yours. Bring any caterer you love, or take the preferred rates at Jojo's and El Charro, both a few steps away. There is no kitchen here, so caterers work from an outdoor staging area with power and water and pack out what they pack in. The beverage service is ours whenever there is alcohol. Everything poured in this venue comes through our license, ordered in advance with you, with no outside bottles at all.
Can we bring our own vendors?
All of them: planner, florist, photographer, DJ, caterer. Tables, chairs and sound are yours to bring or rent, and we are glad to point you to the vendors we like. There is a gate that lets catering and rental trucks drive straight into the venue, which your vendors will thank you for.
Where do our guests park?
We are at 196 N Court Ave, in the heart of downtown, on the grounds of the Presidio San Agustín del Tucson Museum. Parking is paid: the lot in front of El Charro, the YMCA garage, the garage at Alameda and Court, and street parking around the Presidio block. Rideshare drops at the door.
When can we get in to set up?
For a six-hour evening wedding, setup begins at 4pm, when the Museum closes to visitors, perfect for a golden-hour ceremony and a night that runs to midnight. If you would like the whole day to decorate and settle in, the twelve-hour rental closes the Museum to the public and hands you the grounds from the morning on.
When does the bar open?
Bar service starts near your ceremony and runs to 11pm. We agree the exact window with you in advance and put it in writing. The longer rental buys you the day, not twelve hours of pouring, and no wedding we know of wants the latter. If you would like drinks earlier, we will happily quote the extra hours.
How late can we go?
Outdoor music can run until midnight. After that the night can move inside to the bar, which is open until 1am. Worth being clear that the bar is our public room, so you would be among the regular crowd rather than in a space of your own. The courtyard is the opposite: while it is yours it is entirely yours, with two private entrances and exits.
What dates are available?
Wedding dates here are held specially, and we deliberately keep room for couples marrying in the next few months rather than the next few years. Tell us your date and we will check it while we talk, and tell you straight away whether it is free.
Can we invite guests under 21?
Yes. The courtyard and Museum grounds you rent are all ages, so children and teenagers are welcome at your wedding. The one rule comes from the liquor license: after 10pm, no one under 21 inside the bar itself or in the public areas beyond your space.
One courtyard.
The whole beginning.
